- Research Initiative for Scientific Enhancement (RISE) to the Post-Doctorate: Biomedical research program that provides salary, tuition, medical insurance, funding for supplies, and travel. Available to U.S. citizens, non-citizen nationals, and permanent residents.
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) F31 and National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP): These competitive research fellowships are awarded based on research proposals crafted with your principle investigator. Available to U.S. citizens.
- NMSU Graduate Awards: Several fellowships and monetary awards are available for all NMSU graduate students through the graduate school.
- NMSU Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry Awards: The department provides monetary awards annually to graduate students for outstanding academic, research, and teaching performance.
