The mission of the Mesilla Chemistry Workshop is the bringing together of scientists to discuss and present recent research findings in frontier areas of chemistry. Areas of interest are those in which groups from different disciplines meet to solve important problems in chemistry. Assembling groups of people with broad and complementary backgrounds, who would normally not have the opportunity to meet, has the potential to generate exchanges and personal interactions which will lead to important advances in chemistry. Mesilla, New Mexico is an ideal site for this workshop because its relaxed environment can generate the openness and spontaneity required for a successful workshop. The atmosphere of Mesilla is conductive to the candid and frank discussions needed to make a scientific workshop successful.
